My back has been bothering me so pulling up a glued down floor has done me in. I have been focusing on other things that will need to get done, things that are not as taxing on my back such as the transom. The floor of the boat came up as a surprise and it will set me back on this project approximately 6 weeks or so. My back has been an issue for years and from time to time its a big deal and this week its been a big deal, so I have to put the floor on the back burner for a while, don't worry though there is plenty to get done.
After inspecting the Transom I see its going to take more work then first thought but I factored in some small set backs like this not a rotted out floor.

Behind the black squares are 3/8 inch round dowels that have rotted away. I thing originally they were used to clamp the two pieces of the transom together.
