Building the stringer in a 1961 Dorsett El Dorado

 I watched many different way's people used to measure their stringer's but this one came to me while I was walking though a 99 cent store I looked down and saw bags of pop-cycle sticks and boom it came to me. In the same dolor store was a glue gun and its glue sticks. whala. 

The string going across the boat from side to side gave me my height of the stringer and the length was obvious in my particular situation at least hopefully yours will as well.
